Trees are an essential fixture in our lives; they inspire us and teach us about life. They give us products that house us, feed us, and educate us, among the many other roles they have in our lives.
One role that Call Tree Service is well aware of is shading our homes in the summer and blocking cold north winds in the winter. But trees are living things and as such, are subject to illness and death. If you know you need to have your tree felled and removed, you know too, that you’ll be left with the stump. The question of what you do with the stump will be next on your to-do list.
What do I do with the stump?
We’ve come across some fun and practical ideas of what to do with the stump, but if you want to use that for a spot for grass, a new tree, or maybe that garden shed you’ve been promising yourself, call us and we’ll grind the stump to make the space usable.
Keep the stump, or part of it, but move it.
- You can have your cake and eat it too when you grind the remnant of the stump, but use a chuck of the stump as a decorative feature in your yard.
- You can use a remnant as a bird bath pedestal, a mailbox post, or hollow it out and make it into a planter.
Turn it into furniture!
- If the tree you are having felled is of significant size, you can have a slice of it turned into a table top.
- If you turn a trunk sideways and carve out part of it, you will have a garden bench that will be the envy of the neighborhood.
Contact Call Tree Services to ask about our stump grinding services and see how we can help you reclaim your yard.
